During
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a feat of mental toughness as much as it is a physical challenge. Long days on the trail, being far away from home, and sleeping in tents can all take a toll on your mind. The cold and rugged conditions can make the journey even more difficult, but it is your mental resilience that will help keep you going. Eat enough to recuperate from the demanding activity. Drink plenty of water and bring some of your favorite energy bars or snacks from home. Listen to your guide and go slowly.

WHAT GEAR DO I NEED TO CARRY IN MY DAY PACK?
You should pack your gear smartly, keeping in mind the essentials required for your day-long trek. It's crucial to carry only the necessary things that will aid your journey before reaching your destination. You don't have to burden yourself with an enormous backpack; a medium-sized or small-sized one of approximately 30 liters will suffice. Ensure that the items inside are useful, such as clothes, water bottles, headgear, sunglasses, gloves, some snacks, waterproof clothing, and sunscreen. Pack the rest of your belongings in a duffel bag. The porters will carry it between the camps on the mountain each day. Be advised that plastic disposable water bottles and plastic bags are banned in Tanzania. To prevent your items from getting wet, place them in waterproof bags or cubes bags each day before packing. The maximum weight the porters will carry on the mountain is 15kg. If your bag is heavier, you'll need to take some items out and leave it at the hotel.
